4 Spring Cleaning Tips
So, you want to do the big old spring clean that everyone does every once and a while. Spring cleaning doesn’t have to happen in spring, but instead, it can occur whenever you feel the need to do a massive clean of the house. The issue with this is it could take a while so here are some handy tips to help you cut some time out of the long chore.
For most houses, you have at least window screens if not also having a screen door. These can be annoying as hell to clean without any tool designed to help with the lengthy process so here is a little cheat for you. Use a Lint roller before your hose it down. It seems like it will take more time and the first clean will but it will keep them for longer. Hosing down screens isn’t as effective as you think so using a lint roller will remove the harder to get dust and gunk before you hose down the rest.
Now note that this isn’t for leather couches however this is an excellent way to clean microfiber couches quickly. Using rubbing alcohol to help you remove tough stains easier. Just make sure that after you have used the alcohol on the sofa also to clean it off because it could damage the couch. The funny thing is it sounds like more effort, but in reality, it removes stains so efficiently that the time is taken to wipe over the couch twice still saves you more time than if you had tried to clean it in other ways.
Some Stove tops are annoying to clean but here is a quick way to clean those heads that sit above the pilot light. Get some Zip bags and fill it with an ammonia solution. Leave the burner tops in overnight and then rinse them afterwards to have them looking clean as a whistle. Yes technically it takes longer to clean them this way, but you aren’t using your time to clean it for that long so you can spend that time cleaning other parts of the house or that could be time to relax.
If you have venting in your house for air-conditioning or even for a fan in the bathroom, there is a super easy way to clean between it. Put a cloth over a blunt knife like a butter knife and put the spray on. After that, all you need to do is push it through and scrub using your new homemade vent scrubber!
